My Story
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well and continue to safely distance as best you can during this pandemic.
This year is different for the More Than Pink Walk (Race For The Cure).
The day has changed from Saturday, before Mother’s Day to the last Saturday in May. And the venue was changed from Cal Expo to Sac City. Of course, this year we will not gather at all to walk.
This does not keep us from looking for a cure and fighting against breast cancer.
What hasn’t changed are breast cancer cases. This year in the U.S., it’s estimated there will be
• 42,170 breast cancer deaths.
• 276,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer (This includes new cases of primary breast cancer, but not recurrences of original breast cancers.)
Let’s not forget breast cancer and the survivors we know and the loved ones we’ve lost from it.
